Father, Guide My Steps

Walking alone scares me... Father, guide my steps that I may be safe from coming storms, whenever I wake, whatever challenge I take: be there to strength me and uplift me, and I won't fear any sound, any darkness: your wisdom is more than light... oh, Father, guide my steps in the starless night! I will not listen to a liar's voice, and not put my trust in anybody other than you, Father smiling from above; the life you gave me is as precious as gold, I'll wait for tomorrow to unfold... without any worry and anxiety! Facing danger makes me weak, Father guide my steps and lead me home safely through fog and rising shadows that have ghostly faces and speak as if they were souls of misery! Father, guide me steps, not only tonight, but always; make all darkness disappear from these dark thoughts... so that the starriest night can appear, and morning can chase away clouds!
