Father

How magnificent to stroll within thy shadow.
How divine to bask in the scents of roses and aloe.
To hearken to thy voice, gentle as tricking spring water,
even more, delightful than blessings of a son or a daughter.

Lead me to calm waters of wisdom and truth,
return me to the innocence of my youth.
Nourish my soul at all times with wisdom to continue to grow,
and through me, your luminous light may show.

Guide me as I tread in the footprints of my best friend,
finding there, a wellspring of knowledge that will never end.
Reveal to me the sincere ways of a penitent man,
with your flame within me, no insult nor army shall stand.

As with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, I implore you to stay with me,
for there is no doubt that you calm any and all stormy sea.
Unto Thee that shelter the animals of earth and birds of the air,
abide with me now and eternally, for there is none to compare.
