Fate of Scars

He worries about her all day
His fears he cannot erase
Needs her to say “I’ll be okay”
Tears are falling down his face

Why does she live like this?
She covers up the scars
She, he does not want to miss
So he wishes upon the stars

He loves her so
This has gone too far
Doesn’t want her to let go
He needs another star

Looking in the sky
He prays for an answer
A plan he will try
He cannot lose his dancer

She sat all alone
Gasping for air
We all heard her moan
Her fate wasn’t fair
