He flew
Close to the sun
Down he came with a thud
Failed to heed the word of the wise
Burnt wings

I read the myth of Icarus in my second year in the University. His father made him a wing with waxen and warned him not to fly too close to the sun. But the excitement of the possibility of flying made him want to fly even higher. He met his demise when the sun melted the waxen and he fell down. Lesson: too much of everything is bad. Nice one Edward.

True statement. Hubris was ultimately his undoing. Thanks for the comments and visit, Chime!
