Fate
In the beginning I became the end
The light was taken and I could not defend
In the end I became the lost
I sacrificed my heart and I burned the cross
The new beginning gave me eyes to see
Whatever path I walk I know where it will lead
So I became a part of the night
I never tried to walk but there was a constant fight
In the beginning it was only me
But every conflict I fought bread another disease
Then I realised that wherever I go
The world will burn and I can only grow
This new beginning seems full of despair
There’s dust and sand and corpses that stare
A heavy loneliness overshadows my mind
The conflicts within are even staring blind
Never what I wanted but it was on its way
Every time I hid I let it have its say
My eyes expand and see what waits ahead
I never wanted this but it came to pass when I traded death
No matter what I do I can’t deny my fate
Every beginning I stop is a step too late
At least my eyes have only seen what’s true
And at the end of each beginning there is something new
