Fate

It was fate that we met
Fate that made us see
And love that brought us together
In separate worlds we are two similar people
Blinded by the world around us
Energies beyond our control make our love grow
To live without you makes my heart ache to be with you more
Without you I am but a lost soul traveling on a train
Without an ending
A train the scares me into believing that
In the end I took the wrong rail
I see you standing at the next station
But know not how to get off this runaway locomotive
You spread your wings and with a wisp of fate
Shall swoop down and catch me
Save me from this life I so dream of leaving
Carry me into the life I am destined to be in
With you by my side I feel the world is no longer a place of dread and hate
But a place filled with hope, love, happiness
I see what you see and feel what you feel
I can see that in this place we shall love as one
Laugh as one, and be as one
We will grow old together and in the end shall spend eternity as one
Our hearts are magnets that, whether close or far
Magnetize to each other with a force beyond our controls
Love is thought to be blind
When love is truly found, the heart cannot let go
It was fate that we met
Fate that made us see
And fate that we love each other

Excellent poem about love, one of the hardest things in my book to write and express the feelings through the written word, you did it well.
