Faster Than Reality

A don’t care, nonchalant personality, Ingesting the wrong amount constantly Am I crazy to question my own sanity? Moving so fast not even reality could catch me; Just a blur of gleaming lights speeding by Unrecognizable to the human eye. I’ve developed a tendency for speed, Proceeding to ignore the words that heed Gaining momentum, the exhaust roars Cutting corners closer and closer; the rain pours. Falling like crystals shattered across the windshield Frozen, the night leaves my skin peeled The past seemed so distant in this instant; Abstracted and absent. Perhaps I’ll move quickly enough to catch a glimpse of heaven, I’ll ask god why the golden gates continue to deafen.
