Fast Writers

I don’t know how they do it
How do they write so fast
My writing goes so slowly
I sometimes feel outclassed

I’ve time and lots of talent
And inspiration too
But something must be wrong
I don’t know what to do

I’ll sit here for a while
My thoughts not quite connecting
Good starts, good ends, good in betweens
Not used, simply collecting

Aim to surprise yourself in that good start. This has the effect of the brain searching out a way to take the poem...

An interesting and familiar quandary...well-stated...but surely we needn't feel the pressure to produce or the urge toward competition, unless, of course, we need to earn money or have some other reason prodding us to "publish or perish." I enjoyed your poem.
