Farewell Dance - Triolet

Written: June 19, 2026, for a contest sponsored by Andrea Dietrich ************ I love to swirl with you tonight, to gasp the balm your soul holds dear. Under the moon's soft slate-toned light, I love to swirl with you tonight. Since my fleet youth dissolves in white, and dreams nurtured grow faint, un-clear— I love to swirl with you tonight, to gasp the balm your soul holds dear.

So romantic! So charming, Lasaad! What beautiful, youthful memories you sink into as you once again dance with love! I hear the elegant music of your waltz! Congratulations! Blessings, dear friend!

Congratulations on your success, Sotto. Your tremenduous entry oozes romance, lustrous imagery and superior story telling. I apologise for not replying to you at an earlier point. My delay was due to an unresolved System Error 500 on Poetry Soup. This prevented me from logging in. Howard

Very nicely done Line 5 has me thinking of a young bride dressed in white for purity going from being a girl to becoming a woman
