Far From the Block
Paint the walls with madness, all I see is rage. Looking for brighter days. My back hang low, the feeling of carrying the world on my shoulders, drowning in a need of hope. The long miles these shoes walked, a journey towards my Destiny, my quote; I will never give up. This damn life can be hard, rough, over the years I found myself.
Stepping out into the world, visions of wealth, running in my own lane, I follow no one else. Never will I look back, the past you will never forget. Don't give that a reason of holding you back, you bless me in so many ways, deep down where my blood flows the most; I thank you for all that you did.
Have I been blinded for so many years? Stuck, in my own madness. Corrupted, twisted up in society streets, for so many years. I look away from it all, hoping one day I'll have more to give, more to give in this life I live.
