Far From the Ambiguity of Love

The mind is starved of oxygen
The heart is high on nitrogen
It’s a life half lived, half cooked
On a bed of lies, not booked

The days spent in the dark
Nights spent finding the spark
Fingers burned, with a match
But no lessons learnt, an endless search

The red in my eyes, is an original fire
My unique signature blazing higher
An insatiable hunger to grow taller
An appetite for danger to be riskier

And if you ask me why?
Well my head’s in the sky
No plans means no achievements
No effort means no accomplishments

‘Cos that’s where I wanna be
On nights like these, all I wanna see
Far from the ambiguity of love
Nearer to the stars above
