Far and Away

Far and Away by dfx

As I sit here waiting to leave
all of my thoughts surround you
I miss you more and more and still am in love
You must surely know this is true
You don't want to know me any more
and if I stay I will probably die
That doesn't make leaving any easier
Forgive me as I break down and cry

Each mile that passes between us
ends all hope of again being together
I never saw this coming
Planned to love you forever and ever

Damn you for stopping to love me
and damn me to hell for causing you to
In the mean time how am I to carry on
being so brokenhearted, so lonely, and so damned blue

I wish there was something to say. something I could do
to regain your love and you would ask me to stay
For now I'll have to just wish and miss you
more and more each and every day
And live with the pain of loving you
As the miles passing between us
just keep on rolling away

Excellent poem. I can feel the heartache there. I especially like the last line ... "As the miles passing between us just keep on rolling away." Those miles that pass seem terrible, but they're eventually what save us.
