Fantasy,Not

I was thinking it was a passing helicopter,
Blinking across the velvety night sky.
Then I saw it was two distant galaxies, sparkling blue and red.

I was thinking it was an ice-cream cone
Somebody dropped on a van-
Then I saw it was a unicorn’s horn, glittering on the mythical beast.

I was thinking it was the eyes of a cat
That leaped onto a tree-
Then I saw it was two sparkling neon lemons, sweet and tangy.

I was thinking it was lots of snails,
Coming out after the rain-
Then I saw it was multi-colored seashells, entwined around everything.

I was thinking I loved this wonderland,
And was blessed with the chance to stay-
When I woke up from my daydream to another dull, dull day.

Beautifully written. I enjoyed reading this. Your comparatives using reality and fantasy are excellent.
