Fancy Jacket and Hat

What does Grass do
  When winter comes to town
Does it shiver its timbers
  Does it freeze underground

Why no! Grass is first-class
  How else could it last
Through snowfalls so deep
  No sunlight dare seep...

Grass dons fancy jacket and hat
Wad of bills and all that
Bows to winter's autocrat ~
  Who adjusts the thermostat

Wads of bills is spot-on: $1 billion (almost) in marijuana sales in 2020, first full year of legal sales. (I wonder how much more was sold 'on the street,' without the inconvenience of having to pay taxes for 'who-knows-what's-really-in-that-bag?! ~ Wheeler-Dealer

Grass is first class. You are so right. In Illinois, marijuana stores did almost $1 billion (!) in sales last year. I don't know whether to laugh, cry, or just toke up and drift off into the sunset, stoned forever after... What a country!
