Family Ties

What is the meaning of 'family ties' Is the meaning lost in lies We strive to hold it all together Although we're not birds of a feather With different lives and much to do we need our families, me and you We laughed and cried, had fun together we thought it all would last forever As the family grows by leaps and bounds less togetherness can be found May we never give it up It's part of what fills our cup Let's join in fun, let's laugh and play and smile as we remember it another day Life is short, as we all know do not let your family go.

Thank you so much Vera :) That is so nice of you to go and read my poems. I read from your page as soon as I found you on here. I didn't know that you also wrote, but I am glad to have found you. Yes, I know I use basic words most of the time, but I DO want my poems to be easily understood by any one who reads them and I am a rhymer .... even when I try not to be :)

Indeed we do tend to tend those people who are most important to us forgranted at times..And .one time it would be too late..to show those we love we care..So treasure our family now.Great message dear.

Family is important and you are right, they are all different but in the end, your family are the people you should be able to rely on the most. Really nicely done Lenna.

That is sad my friend. 45 minutes away...but it does take an effort from both sides. I can understand your frustration, if that is the right word.

Thank You Chris :) I spent some time with one of my sisters this past weekend, that I haven't seen in 2 years ... even though she only lives 45 minutes away. It seems this is happening more and more in our family and I find it quite sad. I can't always be the one going to them. Admittedly, I get tired of trying to round them all up.
