Family and Friends

Where does the time go
Why do family members
And friends have to leave us

Endless questions, I'm so tired
I want to go to sleep too

I remember so vividly as a child
Family members and friends
So clearly

Yet, as each day passes
Their images fade a little more
In my mind

My mother, daddy, aunts, uncles,
Cousins, and friends
And endless sea of faces in
Front of me

Wishing I could speak to them again
Wondering what they'd have to tell me

Knowing one day in the future,
Some of us will meet again
