Family isn't the DNA, blood and 
Bones you were born into freely;
It isn't the place where you 
Were raised or tormented either...

Family is the ones who 
Love you for you;
Who stand by you 
Without 
Expecting any dues...

Family isn't your 
History -
Good or bad,
Trauma or triumph,
Horror or dreams...

Family is encompassed in 
The everyday heroes that 
Bless your life 
In between... 

Moments of fun and sharing; 
And accepting the 
Unseen, 
Unsaid, and 
Deep meanings... 

Family hugs and 
Makes the 
Pain go away...

Family is who loves you 
And is there for you, 
Each and every day...
