Family

Families are something you can’t choose
You can’t help who comes and goes
But the ones that are worth keeping
Are the ones where love and friendship grows

Some family comes from blood ties
And some from marriage and love
Some you thank the Lord for
But some? Heavens above!!!

A few years ago I gained a sister
I couldn’t ask for a better one
There has been some ups and downs
Also support, tears, laughter, fun

I now just couldn’t imagine
Not having that sister near
I know that when I need her
She will always be here

“You can choose friends but not your family”
What a load of utter crap
I’d choose you lot any day
For the love that is on tap
