Familiar Face

23 Oct 2022 6:00 PM Every day I stare at a familiar face that I have never seen before He stares back with a soulful look and then disappears behind the door I know him then but not now and I know him not tomorrow He changes as the second hand ticks off what can not be borrowed I've known him from the very start and yet I know him not at all He is now but he is not then for he follows natures call Each day I meet and try to know just who he is in a minute or two But he was and is not, because he's someone new Who he is, is who I am but not who I will be I oft do wonder am I him or is it he who's me The morning mirror brings this man who is different every day He changes with the second hand as he journies on through age
