False Hope
A gravestone.
It says Sheila Ryan, died aged 59
A devoted mother
Here clinging to the hillside
Striving, for the solemn white cross at the top
Standing
quiet,
unmoving,
unsympathetic.
As soil creep carries the believer down the hill.
