Falling Down
Better watch where you step, it’s a mine field out there.
And the bombs are just waiting so you’d better beware
And we’re lost on the highway just trying to get home
And it’s easy to think that we’re walking alone…
We are all falling down, that’s so easy to see
But if I fall toward you and you fall toward me
We will both still be standing and not hit the ground
And we can lean on each other without falling down.
In my heart I believe we are all meant to dance
Oh, but gravity scares us so we don’t take the chance
And our knees keep on hurting, and our ankles are weak
But it’s all fear and pride, not just our physique…
We are all falling down, that’s so easy to see
But if I fall toward you and you fall toward me
We will both still be standing and not hit the ground
And we can lean on each other without falling down.
So, I reach out to you… will you reach out to me?
And together we’ll slowly get to where we should be.
For if you hold me steady, keep me off of the ground,
I will do all I can to keep you safe and sound.
We are all falling down, that’s so easy to see
But if I fall toward you and you fall toward me
We will both still be standing and not hit the ground
And we can lean on each other without falling down.
