Falling

Why do I,
Keep on falling,
Why I try,
To stop the gnawing,

At my heart,
At my soul,
Like a dart,
Aimed to low,

Trying to run,
Trying to climb,
Battle can’t be won,
The battle in my mind,

Some days I rise,
And others I fall,
Though pain won’t subside,
I endure through it all,

My friends try,
To stop the falling,
But I’ll never get to fly,
I keep on stalling,

Like tears I dispense,
From within my soul,
It makes no sense,
Why I can’t be whole,

Why can’t I fly?
Why can’t I soar?
Inside I die,
From wanting more,

The falling intensifies,
As I search for a cure,
I need to realize,
That your life is yours,

Yet still I,
Fall and cry,
I keep on falling,
And can’t find why.

You express yourself well in this poem. The only one, speaking for myself, who keeps me from falling is Jesus.
