Fallen Star

Why are there stars
Hidden at night,
Yearning for dawn
To sleep among days bliss.
Hope glistens in the
Eyes of those who wish upon a Star
Racing against time before it completes its decent.
Ever tarrying
Among hunted darkness, the stars
Rid themselves of the ill-fated
Everyone who no longer holds a place among the
Sky are slain,
Torn from there place of
Amenity, given no
Rights to their existence
Stranded from their home, forever gone into the abyss.
