Fallen Angel Contest
A blood, red rose
pressed against her pale skin
A work of art, with a shattered heart
She reeked of sweet sin
Merely a sheep
With eyes, a royal gold
Though the risk was steep
She was his to hold
A mortal lover, by night
A metal hook held her wings
Before dawn she took flight
By noon, she sings
She always knew her fate
But, wouldn't change a thing
Except the morning she was late
With a punctured left wing
There would be no goodbye
She was banished right away
Expelled from the sky
In debt, with Hell to pay
So she stands alone and weeps
With a rose from his grave
Dreaming of her sheep
Atop the bed she made
