Fallen Angel

She stands apart. Her tears have turned to black for violating one unwritten text: that guardian angels cannot come back until their ward has passed, but she, perplexed, could not get passed his cerulean eyes and biscuit curls as her beloved had, and when she died they followed her as sighs would follow hearts in love forever glad for their existence. But now things had changed. She was no longer human, but Angel, and had fallen in love and had now exchanged kisses with a mortal man. In danger, she had shown herself which she could not do to be a child of God. Now she'd forsaken all vows since she was now determined to feed the longing of a heart mistaken. . Lightning struck from the skies that once were kind. Her porcelain self, blinding as the sun in its white brilliance now began to find its color darken as night had begun: slowly. As the house upon the bluff wept for a lost son who had died for kissing Angel lips her pristine whiteness was kept in forbidding onyx, God dismissing her to wander in her raven repose her consolation just one wilted rose. 1st Place Fallen Angel Contest Sponsor: Laura Loo 8/10/17
