Fallen Angel
She gently holds her remaining bliss in her soul,
like a rose hidden away from the wilting of fall.
The world he promised her turned to barren,
damned, desert, when she saw him kissing Karen.
Every hope she had for a future with him turned
into ashes right before her eyes, which then burned.
She can't stop the tears from falling on her cheeks;
her heart has to take a very long time to get a fix.
Darkness is the only thing she sees in love;
a curse she believes she will never forgive.
All she wants to do is travel far away to hide,
from love that might follow her from behind.
