Fall

When I was little and would fall and hit my knee
I would cry and you took care of me
When I got older and fell in love that would end
I would cry and you would be my friend

Now I am the mother kissing knees
And telling my sons bout the birds and bees
But I am not sure if I am doing it right
So I call you late at night

And I cry God I don't know what to do
And you tell me it is okay I trust you
I am not sure if I can handle the next fall
When I loss my brick wall

So daddy please stay here
I would cry and none would care
I need you still so much each day
So daddy please tell God to wait for a few more days
