Fake News

Ha, Ha, Ha.
Hee, Hee, Hee, Hee
False Laughter,
And forced jollity.

Anything false or fake.
I dislike,
And find it hard to take,
Where is the truth hidden,

Is it locked up somewhere?
Forbidden,
For all to share,
Why hide the truth,
That's not fair.

Fairness, where is that today,
Fakeness has got in the way,
Oy Vey!
Dismal indeed,
How we all need,

Some truth and laughter,
Back in our lives,
So we can survive,

And laugh with genuine laughter,
Perhaps that's the goal we should go after.
Ha Ha Ha, Hee, Hee, Hee,
The world will turn more peacefully.

Hi Shirley….I just know I write it “a lot” and when I read your poem my first thought was maybe I’ve been excessive and it had irritated you…..obviously I’m very wrong Ha. I liked your poem Shirley….Debxx

Hi Deb, How could that annoy me? I cannot think of any other way to express laughter in words over than Ha, Ha, etc, plus the fact A and E rhyme with many other words. Do you know the old rhyme, Little Brown Jug? I was a little puzzled by your comment. Take care. Shirley XX
