Faithless Faith

In moments of total darkness with you I grapple, damning, questioning if you really are who you claim you truly are. In my times of deep despair as the soul lies abandoned, I laugh at how overrated you are, more a pest than a loyal friend. Yet as I gaze at a baby asleep or the grandeur of distant hills, when I hear the birds' melodies while leaves rustle in the trees, I, I hang my head in shame for even doubting that You, You are indeed the molder of this weak and fickle heart.
