Faithfully Hurt

I shall never fall for that fiction again The Bible tells us perilous times have come Great myths of love can make one dumb I shall be hurt clear to the end Take and take is the anthem I've heard Unthankful for efforts of the heart As an animal eager to go and part Emotionless and vain as I plainly stood Hostility is on the constant prowl Eliminating that once existing word Making sharp cuts in the bonding cord Until this victim throws in the towel I shall never fall for that fiction again Because the truth faithfully hurts And our time together is forever short It had ended,but I never knew when
