Faithful and True
If I fall to my knees Lord, and call on your love
Your wings will surround and I’m a hand in your glove
Though the storm rages fierce, though who
I know turn away still your face is toward
Me it is brighter than day
I feel the rush of conviction, as your power
Rips through. My tongue is loosened,
My mind filled. Lord this is all just of you!
Through the shadows of this world Lord
I am allowed to discern, some of the road we
Must travel, Lord the rest I must learn
Leaning only on you Lord, following close
Behind, on the path you have trodden
There’s none other to find
On this path of no turning, I am hemmed not by you
But hedges of evil where I shouldn’t break through
Though they catch on my garment, though
They threaten my skin, I must hold to
Your promise, as I’m passing thorough sin
For your leading me on Lord, On the path
Narrow so.' Where only one can travel
Where you lead I will go.
It’s so straight and close Lord, here
We can be alone; I can tell you my doubts
Lord as you remove that hard stone
I would learn of such patience, I would learn of
Your toil, in the garden of earth Lord
Where you raised me from soil
Lead me on, on this straight road
On the road that you made, as you
Walked out from Pilate
To the cross and that grave
Then you entered into hell Lord and so
Many rejoiced; you brought life to
The hopeless and those dead raised
Their voice.
They called you their master, and the
Victor o’er all, Lord your strength
Never falters, in the Fathers at all
Now you sit at His right hand, right there at
His side, and the spirit is here; soon we will be
All one Lord ' when you take you your bride.!
