Faithful
Nice roses or chocolates I seldom see
from the man who long ago married me.
But I cannot complain, and that’s because
the way he is today he always was!
He offered me a life to share with him.
And we’re still standing though some times were grim.
I’ve never caught my husband making eyes
at other gals. He’s not one of those guys!
He’s kind of shy, but he can get quite loud
if someone’s trashing me. That’s not allowed.
Hard-working and dependable is he.
But he is faithful, most importantly.
