I think "Doubt" is the trigger for knowledge.. the mind is enslaved by doubt when it is devoid of any evidence, hints, clues for a given truth.. Faith, as you have mentioned, is the motion of our very heart, mind and soul.. Faith in one ultimate Truth, The Almighty God, that empower us to reach appeasing answers to unperceived mysteries..
