Faith

Your bathing in redemption
sinking into new skin
as your old self
opens your eyes
to the new life
preservation and strife
empties the rage
and overcomes the danger

looking into the mirror
you see a stranger
you stare at the image
and your memory
has a limit
every thought you think
in every action you take
for every breath you breathe
is no longer another mistake,

your soul has bonded
your body looks the same
you face is no different
nothing on the outside
has changed

but a lack of hate
a loss of fear
added need
to a Godly love
to look into the eyes
of heavenly beauty
faith and hope
an honorable duty

Thank you for sharing your heart with us through your poetry here at PoetrySoup Nichole. My time for reading and commenting will be short until after the New Year. So, today I send a wish from my house to yours. Have a Joyous Holiday and a Happy New Year. Please remember the sick and hungry in your prayers daily. Do all you can to help in anyway you can. Love and blessing, Carol and Family (Your smile can warm a heart)
