Faith *
Many a time I have been grieved by fate
When my health took a severe blow,
When all hopes away seemed to fade,
When my spirits dropped to a low,
When fears besieged my inner self
And I lost belief in myself.
Many a time I`ve been hurled down a ditch
Whence coming out was a feat,
When to survive, my life I had to switch,
When to be alive, my heartbeats
I had to bridle, my tears to wipe
And my saddening sorrows to swipe.
Many a time I`ve been stabbed in the back,
But silently I bore the pains,
Shelving them secretly in a sack,
Not allowing them to make my life vain,
But entrusting them to the Lord
For Him to preserve them on board.
All through the thick and thin of life
I placed entire faith in the Lord,
My trust in Him has ever been alive
And that has guided me on the road
To pursue my unflinching goal
To connect with my inner soul.
Faith is, indeed, the basement that sustains
Human will and determination,
It lifts man from failures and retains
His desires and his volition
With the wings of trust to fly up high
And attain the peak of the sky.
Real faith in the Supreme Lord
Brightens the life of a man on dark days
Allows him his vessel to board
Drive his ship on the rightful way
And reach his final destiny
At the stiff end of his journey.
