Fairy Tale Truth
Childhood dreams lost in my mind,
A fairy tale life I struggle to find.
The Truth, the Life, the Way,
I cannot choose today.
We dream and scheme to plan our lives,
Not hearing the true desires inside.
We See it, Feel it, and challenge its honesty,
Must every mile be filled with voracity?
You think you know me, you think we’re close;
While even me, in myself I cannot boast.
This life in my mind is quite an odd story,
How selfish am I to not accept glory?
The questions of life I can’t comprehend,
My Jesus; my god; who shall transcend?
I am overwhelmed from dusk till dawn,
Potential life will soon be gone.
The truth is present, the answer is near,
Jesus will lead me and make it all clear.
Childhood dreams now fresh in my mind,
A fairy tale life I one day will find.
