Fairy Concert
Fairy Concert
The fairies are sitting down
On clouds of puffy white,
Waiting for the concert
That's supposed to begin tonight.
They were all dressed up
Invitations were wrapped in envelopes of gold,
They were held, in their tiny hands
There was no need, for tickets to be sold.
The concert lights came on
There was a hush through the crowd,
The maestro balanced himself on the toadstool
He stood tall and proud.
As the music played
The fairies sat and hummed,
All of a sudden, they sat quietly
When the fairy with the lute, softly strummed.
After the concert was over
There were loud cheers from the crowd,
The audience stood on their feet
And the fairies on stage, took their bows.
