Faintasitis

Far away as the distant star, yesterday burned so bright
Long past its’ existence seems to be still in my sight
But remembering is as a dream to love, what is not really there
Just memory I hold onto as if we still care
Letting go was so hard for my soul and heart
But fade it will, our souls do part
How long burned out light will travel my mind
Could be till death, my peace I will find
Love you forever, I once vowed for truth
Made with passion in my frivolous youth
Makes me smile today as age
Turns my passion to an empty page
Will I burn and write of another star so bright
Sure as tomorrow, I just might……..
