Failed Attempts Meant I'M a Success
I feel out of place…out of place
I dream of floating in space…
Away from the darkness below
I hide my eyes from the undertow
We couldn’t see cuz we were out of our mind
We shouldn’t be left behind while we’re blind
I made failed attempts and it’s tempting to say I’ve lost it all,
But I’m a success and hell yes, I don’t give if we all fall…
I ran away from your misunderstood embrace
I can’t believe I fell in love with sorrow and disgrace
I’m very impressed with the fact that I’m so damn depressed,
Yet feel so high as a kid’s kite in the air of despair
A despair not enough expressed (so vast)
Like my failed attempts (in the sad past)
Of loving you too fast…(oh, way too fast…)
My failed attempts meant I’m a success
And yes, I won away your happiness
And you gained back my sadness
We couldn’t see cuz we were out of our mind
We shouldn’t be left behind while we’re blind

Fearless as a fiery lion in the sunshine aglow
Crazy inside…kinda cozy and cuddling with myself tonight
Seeking a stride in my heart’s pounding with so much might

We shouldn’t be left behind while we’re blind
I made failed attempts and it’s tempting to say I’ve lost it all,
But I’m a success and hell yes, I don’t give if we all fall…

We are sick of being bittersweet like lime

My many fears won’t make me die in doubt’s breaking boat
Hope will eventually undo this wretched rope from my throat
Afraid of letting go, but I’m more afraid of courage that fails me
I just want happiness…I don’t mind the hurt you made me to be
We couldn’t see cuz we were out of our mind
We shouldn’t be left behind while we’re blind
I made failed attempts and it’s tempting to say I’ve lost it all,
But I’m a success and hell yes, I don’t give if we all fall…

Laughing in lament deep down inside…more or less…
Nonsensical memories flood me and I change my mind like the weather
But, things will get better in due time…I’m sorry I’m a failure successfully — you’re living in error while I’m feeling ever so freer
