Fail

How do I define my obligations fail
in thee - as if to fault were veil,
and in some hiding, censure faith's reveal
as circumstance, and not as I did feel.

I fail - that one inclement thought be ail
of thee, and aggravation cause my heart to wail.
Some roadblock of intent, then cause assail -
by thy ensuing rostrum, building scale!

In love, some moment lost, might bring exhale,
and that last breath was cursing, to thy trail.
'Twere this alone, that fail - 'tis this that fails,
that I am truly lost, in thy entail!
