Fading View of Time

Listen to poem:
Fading View of Time
David J Walker

Dust covers most of the few
Magical moments of childhood

Rust is rife on all metal left exposed
In the long life of my dormant bike

And I suppose the memories are
Meaningless to anyone else unless

You were an eyewitness to the
Same past times

The clock ticks
	The clock tocks
The clock chimes

Another moment crosses the lines
Leading to

	The fading view
Of life

Very much enjoyed this rather sad poem! Had been thinking all day today and yesterday how it's pretty much downhill all the way now whether I live 1, 5, or 10 more years. If I could just touch what used to be for an hour, I think it would make me do happy. All the best to you, Devin A

Thank you, John. Yes, at my age (our age) the clock seems to be ever present.
