Fading Star

A star is shining In the day Can you see it? No, no way It is fading So make a wish As it falls If you can see what’s “not there” Maybe you can find a better world somewhere If you wish on a fading star No matter where you are You’ll see it glow A child’s crying In the night There are no stars In the sky In her mind If you can see what’s “not there” Maybe you can find a better world somewhere If you wish on a fading star No matter where you are You’ll see it glow A girl is writing A simple poem To make sense of What she knows At night she cries By day she makes a wish If you can see what’s “not there” Maybe you can find a better world somewhere If you wish on a fading star No matter where you are You’ll see it glow
