Fading Love

Our love is on ice
The world is on fire
Our light is black
Our peace has gone

We stare along
We wait too long
We melt away
Dark light has shone
Please won’t you call the sun?

I watch you all
You need the dark
I melt away
No light today

My child has died
He can’t confide
He stares at fire
The ice has lied
Please won’t you stop my cries?

Soon my eyes
Soon my lies
Soothe my cries
I’ll melt inside
