Fading Love

How do I expect to forget
When i can still feel your touch.

When i can still hear your voice in the back of my head
"I love you" is all it says.

Your scent still hangs in the air that i breathe.
You were everything I had, you are everything I need.

What's left of your love clings sick to my heart
And when it finally dies and my life falls apart,
I can pick up and move on from what never really was.

Because my love for you runs so close to hate,
That your breaking my heart feels more like an escape

Best just to remember the love and go on to the next love. There will be many many. Light & Love "your breaking my heart feels more like an escape" great line and yes they may actually have been doing you a kindness leaving

'...clings sick to my heart' is a marvelous phrase! Strong emotions and visceral language. Well done Tayler! Best wishes, Keith
