Fading

Fading

The steamed up mirror
is all that I can see
I need to find the one that
 they call "me"
Where are you at beneath
the layers that life has spun
you in
I hear the cries and screams that
come from within
The steam gets thicker and
my image starts to fade
Where is the "me" that I
know GOD made
Times I'm up and times I'm
down but always know that
I need you around
"What once was lost and
now it's found "
"I stand for a while just
looking through me
As I truly reflect on who
I should be
Please keep looking, don't
give up
It's just takes time, I know
I'll show up
Do i conform myself to
societies image
on the pages of a magazine
Or do I stand out in the streets
and let them hear me scream
I wipe away the steam and
slowly I start to appear
in full view
I need to be ME and believe
it through and through
