Faded Desires

Acceleration of life, swiftly spinning
Profound lessons, self-inflicted superficial tour
Ignorant stroll misguided creates questioning
Yearning realities escape, fading desires soar.

Liberated soul, heart shackled & weary
Intimate desires, threshold unclear
Preordained destiny, ponder life’s query
Deprived emotions, tormenting fear.

Eluding truth, strength diminishing
Needing justification, answers unclear
Bright blinding light, stairway extending
Fatigued & bewildered, fallen to my knees.
