Fade to grey

You were the candle burning in a darkened room the sun to light my way. The moon at night the stars that shone the answer to my prayer. But now your gone the sun no longer shines the moon has lost its glow. The stars were dimmed dark clouds appeared when God took you from our home.

John thinking of your soulmate on her birthday is such a loving and caring act on your part. Your words are heartfelt and the affect of your wife's departure is evident here in your Poetry. There will be a special day that you and her will be reunited, only this time there will be no more death but joyous eternity together. Hope all is well my friend and God bless you John and comfort your heart during this period without your wife...

I can feel the depth of loss and grief through this poem dear john, it flows with such poignant emotions that truly is soul stirring. Made me tear up as i read the ending, as i can imagine how difficult it must be losing your beloved, the one that was like the candle burning in a darkened room for you, your sun and moon: sending you light today and always: i felt this poem deeply

Sad poem John, though I am convinced that God doesn't take anyone. Our time simply comes. We all take our turn. My wife just lost her mother this week
