Fade Away

-VERSE1-
Clawing under my skin
Tearing at me within
You will not take over
You will just grow colder

Forcing yourself through me
As you try to take my body
I will fight you through this
You're never gonna win

-BRIDGE1-
I'll keep you down
Bitter and afraid
I'll drown you out
Dead and dismayed!

-CHORUS-
You won't steal my life
Why can't you just see
You won't win this time
You can't ever be me

You can't take my face
I'm the master of my existence
You can't take my place
So now I banish you

Good riddance!

-VERSE2-
You'll always just be nothing
Like a mannequin; not quite alive
You'll always be a faded replica
Jaded and hollow inside

Parallel mirrored 'til the end
You are the one restrained
I'll keep you silent forever
You're just a living stain

-BRIDGE1-
I'll keep you down
Bitter and afraid
I'll drown you out
Dead and dismayed!

-CHORUS-
You won't steal my life
Why can't you just see
You won't win this time
You can't ever be me

You can't take my face
I'm the master of my existence
You can't take my place
So now I banish you

Good riddance!

-BRIDGE2-
If you can even beat me, I'd love to see you try
There's no way around it, you're the same as I

-CHORUS-
You won't steal my life
Why can't you just see
You won't win this time
You can't ever be me

You can't take my face
I'm the master of my existence
You can't take my place
So now I banish you

Good riddance!

-OUTRO-
You can't be me
You won't beat me
So just give up..

Fade away!
