Facing Life
Facing Life

I’ve tried to face life keeping a stiff upper lip,
now approaching it’s end, see it’s been just a blip.
Youth has long faded from my field of view,
I’ve trusted God given skills to get me through.
Time has eroded health and stolen my zeal,
In my weakness life’s become, almost unreal.
Today I’m left clinging to the knot in my rope,
but, in Christ, it’s better than I ever dared hope.
*James 4:14 KJV
“Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.”
