Join the Facebook generation
friends like what they thought you said
swim across a social ocean
some are living, some are dead
star-like swim in minds eye nightscapes
brightly shining every heart
sparkling wit from shadowed night-shapes
spread like dust, light years apart
crystal clear, yet firelight empty
welcomes all to hearth-side cold
the warmth of touch, forsaken: envy
youth-light flickers, soon turns old
Where you are is life-spark broken
words feed demons of the mind
listening to silence, spoken,
pictures to amuse the blind
giving all, and needing so much
befriended mortals, still alone
no smell, no taste, no simple touch,
nor sight: the colours are your own.

I think people are moving on from Facebook to other devilish social media platforms... Great poem.
